Senior Capstone Project

In a team of 4 engineers, our team was tasked with designing a low-cost wearable radio frequency tracking device for wandering patients with dementia and autism in rural VA. Being able to work directly with Buena Vista Police Department, AmeriCare Plus, and Virginia Tech engineering students, has allowed me to gain experience in the customer discovery process and presentation of engineering documentation to stakeholders for feedback prior to finalizing designs. Through these experiences, I’ve strengthened my knowledge on the value of iterative human-centered design thinking, Six Sigma, and SCRUM/Agile project management resulting in productive project executions
